In de fictie podcast Het spoor bijster, geproduceerd voor de NS, wordt journalistiek-student Naomi Bijster op een dag aangesproken door een onbekende man op Utrecht Centraal. Ze vindt een geheimzinnig boekje en samen met klasgenoot Olaf gaan ze met de trein op avontuur door Nederland. Met aanwijzingen uit het gevonden boekje doorkruizen ze het hele land op zoek naar iets. Is het een schat? Of toch iets anders? In zes afleveringen onthullen ze goed bewaarde geheimen van een aantal stations en ontdekken ze waar dat geheimzinnige boekje over gaat.
